This Privacy Policy describes how the Shipping Discount App (the “App”) handles information when it is installed on a Shopify store. The App applies an automatic shipping discount (a configurable percentage off delivery cost, up to a configurable maximum) at checkout.

The App is a Shopify Function with a single permission scope,
write_discounts. It runs inside Shopify's checkout to calculate a shipping
discount. Its configuration (discount percentage and maximum amount) is stored by
Shopify as an app-owned metafield on the discount.
The App does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data of merchants or their customers on any system controlled by us. It does not use its own database, and it does not track buyers. All discount calculation happens within Shopify's infrastructure at the moment of checkout.
The App does not request access to customer personal information (names, addresses, emails, payment details) and does not receive or retain it. Order and customer data remain under the control of the merchant and Shopify, governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
As required for all Shopify apps, the App subscribes to Shopify's mandatory compliance
webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and
shop/redact. Because the App stores no personal data, there is nothing to
return, erase, or delete when these webhooks fire — the App verifies each request is
genuinely from Shopify and acknowledges it. If our data practices ever change, we will
fulfil such requests within the timeframe Shopify requires (30 days).
We retain no merchant or customer personal data. The App's only stored value is its own discount configuration (percentage and cap), which lives in Shopify as a metafield and is removed by Shopify when the App is uninstalled or the discount is deleted.
The App does not send data to any third-party service, analytics provider, or advertising network.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
